I Read 120 Books in 2023. These Were My 10 Favorite Fiction Titles: Part 1

I am an entrepreneur, having run my own business for over 20 years. The good news is that 2023 was my most successful year ever. The bad news is that prevented me from reaching my reading goal of 144 books. But I still completed a respectable 120 fiction and nonfiction works.

Full-length reviews of all 120 books are available on my goodreads.com page. I don’t expect folks to wade through all of those, which is why I’m sharing what I thought were the 10 best fiction titles I read in 2023. To respect your time, I’ll cover half of them in this article and the other five in Part 2.

Please note that not all of these books were published in 2023 — I just happened to read (or reread) them last year. Also, the following titles are not ranked in any way. They simply are listed in chronological order, beginning with the most recent read to the year’s earliest read. Finally, my fiction reading tastes trend toward mystery, thrillers, and historical fiction, so this list reflects that bias.
